Indefinite Backpack Travel

This guy's been living out of a backpack for the last 10 years. As someone who's also done some travel optimisation, it's interesting to see how he makes it work. I think if the guy didn't go so hard on the tech side, he'd probably have more space for a few more creature comforts.

Darwin Among the Machines

This is a letter, by someone going by the name Cellarius, was written to the editor of Press - a NZ paper. Predicting the rise of our machine overlords, in 1863. Actually a great read, however you take it.

Nokia Design Archive

This one has been doing the rounds in design circles. A vast collection of designs and concepts for Nokia's phone designs on the past. The website is a pain to navigate, but there's some gems in there. Great to see lots of hand drawn concepts and design exploration in there.

An deep and interesting look at the extensive and varied [wooden] pepper mill designs from Jens Quistgaard and Dansk Design.

A tongue-in-cheek (but also not) set of rules for how one must conduct themselves in the current media landscape.

Le Container

I've followed Le Container for years. They don't drop as many posts as they used to, but when they do they're always worth a browse. For the uninitiated, Le Container occasionally posts collections of photos across design, architecture, motorcycle, and automotive culture.
